Could Have Been So Much Better

The book takes a classic idea, a powerful heir to great magic coming into her destiny, and sucks the life out of it. This is Wiccan fanfiction in which the author's very special character is dropped into the mix and becomes the whiny, pity-seeking center of attention. The rest of the cast devolves to stereotype and the whole book falls victim to amateur writing pitfalls. With a strong editor, this could have been a good story.

    Blood Moon

Another Author who thinks she knows everything, just what we all need. This story is a boring rehash of the Pagan history that we all know was practiced by our less educated ancestors. It could have been fun in the tradition of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but again, Ms. Gryphon had to get religious and make a statement. Her writing is entitled, inaccurate and a general insult to those who do understand the world we live in, in both its historical and religious context. It¿s too bad. Her main character is interesting and quite brave. Unfortunately Gryphon has just given the reading demographic with basic morals and Christian dignity another book not to read.
