Cotton Pickens comes to Doubtful, Wy to get off the trail. What

Cotton Pickens comes to Doubtful, Wy to get off the trail. What he winds up doing is killing two bad guys, then is tracked down by the town elders and made sheriff for getting rid of them. At 28 years old, the only thing he has going for him is a very quick draw, a crazy mean horse named critter, and his self deprecating humor. Nevertheless, he takes to the roll of sheriff like a duck to water. While telling everyone he’s never made it past the 5th grade, he doggedly goes about solving crimes with the tenacity of a bulldog. In this first installment, there are 3 huge ranches whose owners are not satisfied with owning most of the valley, they want it all. They declare war on the little guys and all hell breaks loose including murder robbery and rape. Even his crazy killer brother shows up. What cotton doesn’t know is that these three are all connected, come from NY and are absolutely not what they seem. He also falls in love with the daughter of one of the three and this surely does put a wrench in the mix. He does however, find himself a new deputy. Rusty Irons, LOL, I kid you not. This is really a great new series. Some of it is tongue in check, some funny, and some deadly serious. It is also greatly entertaining. Check it out.
