Cute short story

I thought that this was a cute short story! I liked how Blue and Kasper had a history together and how their family feud went back hundreds of years, but these two knew each other's families.

Crawdads. Fireflies. Jazz. What do they have in common? All engulf your senses and wrap you within the magic of New Orleans with its tall-tales and wistful memories.
Blue By You is a nostalgic love story set in today’s bayou land of Louisiana. It is at Dahlia Hall, an antebellum plantation, where you meet Blue Louretha Dare Toussaint Butler, a woman whose life now centers around maintaining the splendor of Dahlia Hall and preserving its place in American history. It’s shortly before dusk and Blue is in the overseer’s cabin, overlooking her land and enjoying a Purple Jesus, when she sees an elderly figure ease into her family’s cemetery.
The spunky and frank Sudie Pennington has come to pay her respects to Blue’s late grandmother. It’s no secret that Sudie and the late Julia Toussaint hated each other ever since Sudie started a nasty rumor about Julia shoplifting at their local Five and Dime. So, to avoid a fist fight in heaven, Sudie returns to make amends with Julia’s soul. Blue doesn’t find this strange at all, the Toussaints and Penningtons have hated each other since before the War Between The States. And it’s for good reason. The Toussaint women are uppity and the Pennington men are sugar-mouthed. But that didn’t stop Blue, that summer in 1991, just before she entered Tulane…oh the memories of sugar-mouthed Kasper Pennington. If there was ever a reason why the Toussaints hated the Penningtons, he was a good enough excuse. But when Kasper comes to pick up his grandmother from the cemetery, Blue can’t help but feel those butterflies she once felt…that night…22 years ago…with the sounds of Stevie Ray…at that crawdad fest…
Is there a story that can make you feel as though you are standing right there in the middle of shadowy New Orleans with its jazz and gumbo and live oaks? Yes. It’s Blue By You. This story will leave you laughing at funny old ladies with their tall-tales and fainting couches, blushing at ruggedly charming men, smiling like a sweet-talked belle and dreaming of your own Southern romance. More hot, then tamed, this story makes you fall for the charismatic Marine known as Kasper Pennington and wish that you could, for one day, be the ever so lucky Blue Louretha Dare Toussaint Butler. And so what if Kasper isn’t perfect…he’s more than equipped to make up for it.
