I found this book to be of little value. It does not recognize the ambiguity of nonverbal communication. It takes some general patterns and tries to turn them into universals of nonverbal meaning. As an instructor of interpersonal communication with a Master's degree in the field, I would NOT recommend this book to anyone. The notion that one can 'read' another's nonverbals and make any definite conclusions is not supported by research. If you like shallow treatments of nonverbal communication, you might like this. But if you want to know what you are talking about, look elsewhere. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
