Interesting...
Tbis novel was definitley interesting. "A" for originality! I couldn't put it down and i found the plot to be interesting and fast paced. Warning: this book is not for prudes, at times I blushed at the details of the love scenes. I also struggled to like the main character. If you want a cheap read, this is your book. It doesn't fit the fine literature catergory, but you will learn a lot about Bollywood and India, and you will definitly be entertained.

Jackie Collins but in Bollywood
If you are a fan of Jackie Collins style ficton, you will enjoy this book. Bollywood is as corrupt as Hollywood.

I really like this book!
Enough though, it's pretty graphic for the average reader but it captures of how Bollywood is. The fact that these girls, especially the main character, has to go prostitution in order to achieve stardom. Her marriage is pretty sad, too. I don't think the ending should be the way it is.

Could have done without
This book was just a little too much for me. I've read some pretty vulgar books in the past, but this takes the cake. I felt that the characters were under developed and the storyline unrealistic. The ending felt rushed and not thought out. I expected more. To each their own of course.

Thoroughly disappointed
The characters were poorly developed and the storyline contrived. I'd expected more.

Bollywood behind the scenes
This book was an amazing story and told much of the film industry in India that nobody see's. Greed, lust, forbidden love, deciet, and sexism in modern day india. A great love story and tale of a women with a mission to be the best!!

Crazzy
I actually picked this book up at the airport on my way back from NYC. I am a crazy bollywood fan and it was really interesting to think that some of my favorite actresses and actors probably led the lives of most of the characters in Shobha De's book. The book is a light read, but realllly provacative and sexual. Overall i would recommend it if you are comfortable reading provacative stuff. I think De did a great job showing the strengths and weaknesses of the main character.

Lovely read
This is a great story - while a bit vulgar in places, Bollywood Nights introduces readers into a virutally unknown world. The ending left me wanting more, but as with all books, it had to come to an end!
