A good story told with emotion

I am an avid reader of historical novels and this is top shelf. Most history is tainted with the 'winners' version. We have little to really know the world history of the background people that moved through the great events. Mr. Bonanno tells us a great deal of the Italian secret societies that helped build the USA.

    Cant put it down!!

I started with Rosalie's book, Mafia Marriage, then began this book right after. I enjoy comparing and contrasting between Rosalie and Bill's lives together. It's extremely intetesting now knowing both of their sides. I HIGHLY recommend this and Rosalies book:)

    The Godfather

Having seen the movie first, it brought this book and Rosemary's to life.

Bound by Honor is lost in itself

I will admit this book had some very valuable information in it at times. It was not, however, historocally acurate in all places. Other literary critics of the book have said that the author wrote his own version of history, instead of telling it how it was. Most people believe the kiddnapping of his father was staged. There is some good material here, but overall more reliable information can be found in other books.

    Good Book but...

All in all i think this was a great book. However it had a major negative. Bill Bonanno seems to be very focused on himself in this book. No disrespects but he seems to focus the book on himself other then the saga of of the story. He referes to the underworld as 'Our World' and keeps talkin about how he feels like his ancestors wich i think is great but it's used to much in the book. I do think this book is great and i do recommend it to any one who is interested in the different familes and the history of the Mafia. But i do think this is a great book.
