    A Practice and An Explanation- How we think

    Ilchi Lee describes to readers a technique to "reset" your brain. He provides an understanding of how our brains work and offers guidance as you rediscover the potential within yourself.

    -Controlling stress from the inside, not the outside
    -understanding the mind/body function according to ultradian rhythms
    -discovering the true part of yourself (again)
    -illusions of "the real world"
    -3 basic principles that help keep your "brain operating system" in top condition
    -3 informational diseases
    -3 cures

    One of my favorite quotes: "Your head may be full of the best ideas ever concieved by humankind, but they will never have the slightest effect on the world if you aren't willing to step out of your routine and act."

    This is a great tool to help you get out of your own way. As Ilchi says (on page 125 2nd edition paperback), "All the problems in the world were created by the human brain, and within the human brain lie all the answers."

    Simple, effective way to de-stress and heal your mind.

    I love this technique. I practice and teach this in yoga class very often. It is very experiential and all you have to do is start with an open mind. We play music with a good drum rhythm and begin by closing our eyes & shaking our head to the beat. This helps to bring your "thinking" mind down. Exhaling is important to release stress and tension from the body. Continue shaking off any unnecessary thoughts that makes your mind scattered. Emptying out your mind will give you space to rejuvenate yourself and feel better. As you focus into your brainstem, where your neck & skull pivot, you can realign your body and activate your natural healing power within your brainstem. Keep exhaling and focus inside of your brainstem. You can do freestyle dancing to the music as well. The whole point is to move your body and awaken your senses to activate your natural healing power.(Ki) There is no time limit, and you can practice for as long as you feel necessary.
