Well, i just love that Kelley Armstrong is continuing to give stories from this world....I really hope she continues to do so for a very long time! That said, this was probably my least liked of all her books/novellas....why?....it was a little bit boring, I loved reading about Nick, but you really did'nt learn anything new about him, and the female main character was not all that fleshed out (i know it's a novella, but Ms. Armstrong usually does a better job than this in her short stories), also, what you did learn about this character just made her seem incompetent, especially for an ex-fbi agent...oh well, the author can't please everyone all the time & she is still definately on my "automatic buy list".

Ok. As others have said, not as tight or fleshed out as the others. Symptomatic is that I could not fathom the love interest. Because mid-life crises and unjustified arrogance are oh-so-irresistible? The whole plastic "relationship" felt like phoned in wish fulfillment. Ah well. Her other books are still auto buys for me. .Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
