Bringing me back to my childhood
I read the "Frances" series when I was little. Everytime I read it to my children, it reminds me of how much I loved to read it over and over in my childhood.

Bread and Jam for Frances - A Must for All Children
Bread and Jam for Frances was a favorite for my daughter, who is now 32. We read it so many times, I used to dread seeing her bringing it to me to read to her. When she started to read on her own, she read it to herself over and over.

She read it to her son when he was little. My grand-daughter who is now 5 loves this book. Again, I am asked to read it over and over; which really is easy, because after all the times I had read it in the past, I still know it by heart.
This is really a great book for children. I would recommend this book to any parent for their child, especially if you have a very picky, finicky, selective eater.
This is really a great children's book! -

Parents of Picky Eaters Unite!
I like this story. The theme is a good message to children to try new foods, even if they don't think they like more than one thing that is offered to them. Also, I like the mother's and father's decision to only give Frances what she thinks she likes best for every meal. Eventually, the little badger sees that getting what she wants isn't always the best thing for her. Also of quality are the illustrations and the story telling. For example, the badger experiences life as a human being. The use of personification and the animals' lives makes the story interesting to children. Frances is a badger whose voice and errors in judgement will go to your children's hearts. This is a good book for your library. I recommend this book to picky eaters.

Where are the songs?
I loved this book so much as a child! I still have the fondest memories of it, and so am happy to fork out the 17 bucks to share this gem with my daughter. However, the version I had as a child came with one of those 'pull-out' records, the kind that looked like it was a page in the book, but then you could tear it out and it was a record. I loved the way they sang the songs most of all, and I wish I could find a version of the book that came with one of those old records...

A Must-Read
If there was any book that I wanted my mother to read me more than any other, this would be the one. I never tired of hearing about Frances, the badger who only wanted to eat bread and jam until her wish is actually granted. Moms, Dads, and kids will all love this tale about Frances and her insatiable desire for bread and jam.
