excellant analysis of the roman catholic church
The writer here does a wonderful favor to all Catholics - conservative, moderate and liberal - by defining what he, often correctly so, sees as the errors of his church. For far too long, the Catholic Church has protected its own secular structure against the truth of human progress. While I can acknowledge the value of tradition, the fact is that tradition should not stand in the way of gender equality in the priesthood, more lay opportunities for action, social justice, married priests and a church more open to the Holy Spirit's words in actions through the People of God.Was this review helpful?
