Awkward, clumsy, and under developed
Conforte rehashes the story of his life he¿s told many times before to other authors and news reporters and there¿s not much new for his fans. There is no structure to Conforte¿s comments, nor much detail either, and things of great interest to most readers are not mentioned such as Bernardo Mercado¿s title shot at Muhammad Ali in 1980, as one example. The co-author¿s creative writing about a day in the life of the brothel is filler for a lack of true substance and extraneous to Conforte¿s comments while awkwardly bringing together two remote genres of writing. If you were looking to learn something about Joseph Conforte, this is not the book. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
