Made a difference in my life!

While I have been told about the benefits of breathing for the body, it wasn't until I listened to Breathing: The Master Key of Self-Healing that I really got it. Dr. Weil does a great job explaining breathing techniques, and the benefits that can be derived from thoughtful breathing. I have bought this CD for my entire department at work!

Breathing: The Master Key to Self-Healing

These CDs are not very good. Andrew Weil is a big name, and he is helping to educate people about the importance of good breathing, but his audio program doesn't offer much more than can already be easily found in numerous other places. And he really doesn't tell us much about why breathing is so important for health and healing. I was very dissapointed. If you want some really good information about breathing, as well as safe, effective practices, skip these CDs and try the titles I recommend below.

Breathing: The Master Key to Self-Healing

I do not really find these CDs very helpful. They simply don't provide insights into the fundamental principles of breathing. And they don't offer practices that are not already widely available. For the most part, the CDs are really a rehash of some very basic pranayama exercises. On the positive side, because Andrew Weil is so well known he is helping to educate people about the importance of good breathing to health and healing. And that's a big plus. But I cannot really recommend this audio program. There are better ones available.

    Not Much Substance

Though it is great that Weil emphasizes the importance of breathing, his tapes are a not very good rehash of a few useful breathing techniques that one can find many other places. Weil seems to be cashing in on the growing interest in breathing--but he does so without giving the reader the information that he or she needs in order to go deeper into this crucial subject.

I loved 'Breathing' by Dr. Weil

Dr. Weil is the best teacher I have ever listened to. He combines practice with experience to deliver a clear and enjoyable message that everyone can benefit from. I strongly recommend this product.

    Thumbs Down!

I regularly purchase audiotapes about breathing and was greatly disappointed with this tape. Weil's breathing exercises were awkward and rushed with no structure. Buy any breathing tapes by Gay Hendricks instead. HIS tapes changed my life!
