This my personal favorite of the four books in the series. I found it very entertaining & a fabulous read for both young people & adults alike.

good stuff
of all the books i have read by tamora pierce, i must say that this is my favorite. it makes you think, which is one thing that makes the circle of magic quartet my favorite by her. some of her newer books have been severly lacking this important quality, so it's good to go back to the basics.

AN EMOTIONAL AND FAST-PACED BOOK
The last book of Tamora Pierces Circle of Magic Quartet finally features theif-boy, Briar. Briar has mixed feelings about seeing his old self slipping away, so finds joy each week in accompanying his teacher, Rosethorn, to the poorest section of Summersea, the Mire. There the former street rat can spend the day with street rats his own age, until the outbreak of a plague. Briar's friends are busy with other tasks to help the sick, while he and Rosethorn feverishly work to find a cure to what is being called the Blue Pox. As they get closer to the cure, Rosethorn, the only person Briar has ever really loved, comes down with the Blue Pox herself. Briar and his friends desparately attempt to get Rosethorn, and themselves, though this alive. Unlike the other books of the series, this one takes a different approach. The author explores deeper into human emotion that will have the reader crying and laughing with what may very well be called the best book of the series. With its end, the reader will be eager to start the follow-up series, The Circle Opens.

This is a VERY good book.
I have read the other three books in the Circle of Magic quartet. But my favorite out of them all was Brair's book. I liked it because it was exciting, and I loved the ending.

If you read any book this year read this book and the quaret with it
This is an awesome book, it is one of the best book series I have read in a long long time. When I finished I felt as if I had lost a great friend of mine, which is an excellent reason to read. Read the series, Circle of Magic; Sandry's book, Tris's book, Daja book, and Briars book.

Great book!!!
Briar's Book is probably one of the best books in the series. Although Briar is mentioned as sort-of an annoying boy in the other books he's a lot more sincere in this book. Although he's sincere in the book he still has the fun annoying quality. I just finished the first book of The Song of the Lioness series and thought it was great. Keep writing great books Tamora!

You have to read it!
You have to read Briar's book! It is such a must.Flick, Briar's friend, is the first to recieve a deadly illness that no one knows about. She gets extremely ill. Then others begin to get this odd sickness. Soon, all of Summersea is ill, or in quarintine, or hiding from the illness. Even dedicates from winding circle are not safe. When Rosethorn falls ill, can Briar, Sndry, Tris, and Daja save her?
