I have had this book for a while and hadn't read it. I kept putting it off and reading other books. Don't know why I waited so long. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
Once I started this book I was intrigued to find our how events would unfold. I wanted to know what would happen between Nara and Ethan and how it would all end.
Ethan and Nara are both unique characters. Nara dreams of what will happen to her during the next day. Ethan dreams are very disturbing, he dreams of demons and chaotic things. Once he and Nara touch everything changes.
I'm very intrigued and want to know exactly what or who Ethan is. It's horrible what he has to deal with every night in sleep. He's a well put together character and I'm surprise Ethan is not a disturbed, somewhat off his rocker type of character with everything he has to deal with.
Nara is dealing with her father abandoning her. Well, she doesn't deal with it because she doesn't want to discuss her father with anyone. She doesn't deal with her emotions about her father and she wants to protect her mother. Nara is a character who wants to protect the ones she loves and anyone who might be in possible danger. She will stand up to Fate itself if she has to to keep people from being hurt.
Ethan isolates himself from everyone till he meets Nara because of his nightmares. He doesn't like to touch anyone because of his gift. He's a mysterious character that slowly unfolds and will keep growing and changing.
I can't wait to read book two to see what obstacles Nara and Ethan will face. Can't wait to find out who Ethan truly is and why Nara can't see him in her dreams.
I recommend this book to anyone. It's a page turner.

I loved this story, everything about it. How would you feel if you knew your future? Well, that is exactly what happens to Nara Collins. Every night she dreams what will happen the next day. Usually, she doesn't interfere because that doesn't always go well, but when she sees dreams about a bombing at school, she just can't sit back and do nothing, so she calls in anonymously and warns the police. By doing this, she changes fate, and fate isn't too happy about that. This sets of a series of events that change Nara's life and her perspective on things in ways she could never imagine. Then Nara meets Ethan. They have an immediate connection, one that Nara doesn't quite understand, but will soon find out. It is more than just love or infatuation, there are supernatural things going on that neither of them fully understands. Ethan Harris is dark, mysterious, and the rumors going around about him have painted him with a really bad reputation. Despite all this, Nara is drawn to him. She sees the good in Ethan, and to Ethan, Nara is the light in the midst of the darkness that tries to consume him. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot, but their connection is so much more than that. When things heat up with fate, Ethan just might be the only one who can save Nara from what fate has planned for her.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I really enjoyed the Brightest Kind of Darkness. The paranormal element was intriguing, interesting, and entertaining. I loved both Nara and Ethan's characters, light and darkness, they complemented each other beautifully. I also really liked how their relationship progressed throughout the story. The connection was immediate, but the love grew over time. Nara and Ethan were both strong characters, Nara being quite the heroine, and despite his darkness, Ethan was a powerful force in his own right. I enjoyed the plot also, which while not unique, was written in such a way that it captured my attention fully, and I was thoroughly engrossed in the story from beginning to end. There is suspense, mystery, twists and turns, and hot romance. If you enjoy paranoraml romance, then Brightest Kind of Darkness is a story that you will not want to miss.
