Not Like Other Alternative History Books
Ward's Bring the Jubilee was a non-stop read. A novel in which the course of the civil war was altered due to a single person's action (or inaction however you see it). The basic premise of the book is the state of America in the 1950's, seventy years after the south one the battle of gettysburg and eventually the war. The central underlying theme of the whole novel is the central character's struggle of being a spectator as opposed to being proactive. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
