DO NOT BUY THE NOOK VERSION

It is not readable at all. The fonts are tiny and not changable. In addition, even the tiny fonts are not crisp but look as if you are reading a bad resolution picture. The book doesn't load on any other device besides the nook itself. You can't even load it in a browser so that you might be able to read it on your PC.

A publisher should not be allowed to offer a nook version of a book that is such poor quality.

Innovative picture book on the serious topic of business modeling

A different kind of business world calls for a different kind of business manual, and that's what Alex Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur have achieved in their New Age guide to contemporary business modeling. Abetted by their "Business Model Innovation Hub" - with 470 online collaborators in 45 countries - Osterwalder and Pigneur practiced what they preached when they applied their modeling concepts to the book's production. And the concepts are not just theories: major companies such as IBM and Ericsson are converts to the "Business Model Canvas," a low-tech template for brainstorming and visualizing corporate roles and processes. The book's breezy, colorful format, replete with photos, drawings, charts and graphics, belies its intensely researched and reality-grounded content. A big sheet of paper and a slew of Post-it notes are all you need to get started; that, and the combined creativity, intellect and persistence your team brings to the project. getAbstract heartily recommends this comprehensive, pictorial handbook to entrepreneurs and business leaders looking to create or redesign their business models.

The book is unreadable on the Nook

I don't know how B&N has allowed this book to be sold online. This book is really unreadable on the Nook. I have contacted B&N to remove this book from their store, waiting for their response.

Great framework for new and existing Product Managers

Easy to read, and has promise to be incredibly useful.

I'm learning to use this framework to communicate business opportunities and options internally. It's not perfect, but helps to communicate business models in a very easy to understand framework.

It's not meant to be comprehensive. It doesn't illustrate how to execute the business model, but I don't think that's the point. It provides an excellent starting point on what needs to be done, and then the business owner needs to define how to do it.

    Great book.

Get the sample first - caution re nook version - seconded

Given the book's graphic design (innovation is not without its drawbacks), each page seems to load as a picture rather than text. As such, you cannot zoom or make text bigger (you can, oddly enough, still highlight text, though). Again, text was low resolution and hard to read on a full-screen 16inch laptop (a guessing game, really).
