Jennifer Wardrip - Personal Read
This is the first CSI: MIAMI title I've read by author Donn Cortez, and I truly enjoyed it. In my opinion, Mr. Cortez does a much better job than author Max Allan Collins at characterization and getting inside the minds of both the CSI players and the people involved in the particular case.
The plot line of RIPTIDE is strange but believable, with a perpetrator who is obsessed with a merman from an old film. The only thing that kept this book from being a 5-star read was the ending, which, although plausable, was too quickly wrapped up in only a few sentences.2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

Jennifer Wardrip - Personal Read
Another great read, as always, in the CSI: MIAMI series.
In this book, there are actually three seprate storylines: one involving a Santicon gathering that turns deadly for one jolly St. Nick; one dealing with the discovery of a headless, handless corpse in the Everglades; and one dealing with a simple case of an attack at a convenience store that quickly turns into something much more strange.
This was a quick, fun read -- highly recommended!1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

A great CSI: MIAMI read by author Donn Cortez! This story revolves around a new diet/spirituality cult known as the Vitality Method. When members keep dying, Horatio and his crew of CSIs set out to prove that the founder, a well-known doctor, is behind the deaths.

Another good one.
I liked the bit where Horatio was playing with Chiba, and the part where he was thinking about Marisol.

I liked the bit where Tyler was acting all goofy from the non drowsy cough medicine he was taking for his cold.

Another good one.
I especially liked the part where Calliegh was telling Eyan what sort of things got under Horatio's skin.

Another good one.
I liked the bit where Ryan said he went through a robot phase as a kid all because of the old copies of Reader's Digest that his grandma had.
