Calculus simplified
If you are wanting to review long forgotten calculus or if you are a student taking elementary calculus class, then Cliffs Quick Review Calculus will be invaluable. After a chapter covering essential concepts from algebra and trigonometry, the authors present all the basics: limits, derivatives, applications of derivatives, integration, and applications of the definite integral. Numerous worked examples are provided and there is even a final examination with answers to check your skills. The book provides a list of additional books on calculus, calculus web sites, a glossary, an appendix on using graphing calculators in calculus , and an index. A free pocket guide to calculus is also included. The only fault that I found with the book is that it fails to provide a more formal, delta and epsilon, definition of the limit. I would hope that the autjors will correct this fault in later editions. In conclusion, an excellent little book at a bargain price.
