Not Recommended - more opinions than facts.

If you are a progressive, you'll love this book. If you are a conservative, have any knowledge of history or understand economics, you'll hate it. Progrssive talking points and opinions substitute for facts in this short "history" of Calvin Coolidge. If you want to learn about Coolidge, find a different book than this one.

    Good Overview

This book provided a good overall story of Coolidge as his presidency, though I wish it had been a little more detailed in spots. But I do feel it does paint a good, if not broad, picture of his years in the White House. His “Yankee-ness” comes out strong as well.

Light, superficial coverage of the subject.

If you're looking for a very quick read covering this subject, this book is for you. The author covers the subject without an in depth exploration of why decisions are made. Rather the subject is covered quickly, and superficially. Facts regarding events occurring on specific dates are accurately portrayed, but not explored. This is generally true of the American Presidents Series books. If you want that exploration, then search elsewhere.
