Obviously the reviewer below missed the point of the book

This book is not a collection of essays that have to deal with what it is like to play basketball professionally. What it is is a interesting look at the type of existence a journeyman professional basketball player endures. Paul Shirley fills his experience with vivid detail and razor sharp wit. Any fan of the NBA game will welcome his insights into the inner workings of a franchise as well as see what it is like to play in Europe. All in all, a solid sports title that expands the genre.

Great insight into the life of basketball

I have read Paul's diaries on ESPN and this book is a great extention of those diaries. Not only is he witty and smart, he gives wonderful insight into the life of a basketball player who has been to so many different leagues.

    Can I Keep My Money?

This book has less to do with basketball than with the sophomorice ramblings of a not clever author.
