    WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND

WELL, THE LONG AWAITED FOLLOW-UP TO P G COUNTY. FOR ME IT STARTED OFF A LITTLE SLOW, BUT THE ENDING MORE THAN MADE UP FOR THE START. I AM SO SO SO SO GLAD THAT JOLENE BROWN GOT EVERYTHING THAT WAS COMING TO HER. HOW COULD ONE PERSON HAVE SO MUCH HATRED IN THEM. AND TO THINK SOMEONE LIKE HER WON THE LOTTERY. ONLY IN A NOVEL COULD THAT HAPPEN. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE 3 INSTALLMENT OF THIS BOOK. IT'S A MUST READ.

    Almost Perfect!

I loved PG County and looked forward very eagerly to this sequel. And it was almost perfect. It was good to see what was up with the whole cast...Barbara, Pearl, Bradford and Jolene. But did anyone out there really believe that Jolene had won the lottery? I mean...come on! However, after that bad beginning the book really had some nice twists and turns plus a satisfying ending.

    Connie is Great

I read this book in one sitting and I don't even like to read, but I read all her books I just wish she put out more books more often. I just reread all of her books. If you haven't read PG County you have to read it.

    A very sophisticated read!

I read this book in one sitting! It was very well-written and I loved each character, even Bradford, Jolene and the baroness. It's refreshing to read such wonderful material.

Couldn't Put This Book Down !!

Connie Briscoe has done it again with this one. I love the way that this author blends all of the characters like Veronique, Barbara, Patrick, Jolene, Bradford, and the others into this easy read. If you are a fan of well-written African-American fiction and need a good summer read this is the right book. If you are also a member of a non-African American book club, this book is a great way to expose others outside of our community to the very unreported and seriously overlooked upper-class black community.

    Loved it

Few can do it better than Connie Briscoe and in Can't Get Enough she proves she's at the top of her game. The novel picks up where P.G. County left off and resumes the story of Barbara Bentley, wife of philanderer Bradford, and her equally enthralling co-residents of a wealthy Washington, D.C. suburb. Barbara is trying to cope with life as a rich businessman's wife -- is she happy with the high-end shopping, the swanky parties, and does she really have to continue putting up with catty Jolene, her hubby's former flame? Life is about to get interesting as Barbara takes up a new interest - selling real estate. Then there's Pearl, a hefty yet sincere single mother that has caught the attention of Patrick, Jolene's ex-husband. If only Jolene would stick her nose in her own business, maybe she'd really find true happiness, instead of finding herself getting into deeper trouble. And who can forget the new neighbor on the block -- the beautiful and mystical Veronique, a baroness who brings lots of rich tales and drama to the lives of her new friends. Both amusing and delectable, Can't Get Enough is a pleasing and spirited novel - one that may entice and surprise you with its climatic twists; and one that includes all the ingredients of a perfect summer read.
