WHY IS THIS NOT AVAILABLE AS AN EBOOK?
Every other book in this great series, including 5 and 6, are available as ebooks. I've read 2 and 3 on my Nook...love it, need it. Where is it, B&N?

So frustrating!
As others have noted the lack of e-book edition is difficult to understand.

Can't Put it Down!
This fourth book in Jim Butcher's Codex Alera series is every bit as good as the first! His tale follows Tavi into adulthood and more intrigue.
Unlike some series that get old and tiring after the first two or three books, Captain's Fury continues at a great pace and still has me hooked!
I'm looking forward to reading the next installment!1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

1, 2, 3, 5, 6.... wait... Where's 4 in the eBook catalog?!
Am I missing something? Why spoil a wonderful series by leaving out a pivotal book.
Jim Butcher is always entertaining. This may not be great literature but it is a great read. You have a distinct sense for the individuality of each character as well as an encompassing notion of the world around them.1 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

E-book for goodness sake!!!
Wishing I'd gotten a Kindle instead of this Nook.... Everything I want to read isn't available as an e-book. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?

Lots of action
great read, fast-paced action sequences, great characters that make you really empathize and become involved. Everything you want to grab a book and really "get away" from things for a while.

No E-Book...WHY?
This is a series I would love to get on my nook...that is IF BN ever decides to get book 4 in an ebook format. Is there any way to flag this book as one that needs an ebook edition???

Captain's Fury continues the series with new excitement.
Jim Butcher's Codex Alera series are well written and "Captain's Fury" has well written battle scenes.

Tavi Comes into his own
This is the book where the kid finally truly becomes a man. He showed he can play with the big boys intellectually and strategically in "Cursor's Fury" but in this book he begins his ascendancy toward claiming his birthright.

The characters are well developed, the action is fast and furious with exciting page turning action with dashes of dramatic moments of friendship and tenderness culminating in a dramatic 'coming of age' moment for Tavi, quickly followed by a tense dramatic duel as the final exclamation point.
The best of the six books in the 'Codex Alera' in this reviewers opinion, 'Captian's Fury' is the book that sets the stage for the exciting climax that spans both "Princeps Fury" and "First Lords Fury" perfectly.
A well written page turning, stay up all night reading kind of book. A great and wonderful installment to a very good if somewhat predictable fantasy series. -

Read the others first
The fourth book in a well crafted series. Read then in order to get the most from them. A rather novel magic system on a world the decedents of transplanted Romans share with some interesting other sentients.

I love Jim Butcher's Books!!!
As ususal, Jim Butcher delivers a top-notch novel with complex characters and interesting plots and sub plots. I have enjoyed everything that he's ever written and this book was no exception to the rule. It is just wonderful. Tavi and friends are growing up and becoming adults and as such their relationships become more complex. More background information trickles out, filling out the base storyline, and new storylines emerge such as Tavi's mother's new strength of power. It is a great book and I am looking forward to more!

Better and Better
All I can say is that every book whether in the codex alera or the dresden series is better than the previous book, which is a feat in itself. The only thing I don't like about this story is that there are only two more to follow in this series.

Good continuation of the series
Overall, a pretty good read. The characters are well developed and the plot is good, if predictable - we know in advance that the hero's going to survive, and at this point, will probably become the ruler. You have to suspend your disbelief concerning the super-powers that various characters wield - but if that bothers you, you wouldn't have followed the series this far anyway. For the reader who's into adventure/fantasy that doesn't get too convoluted to follow easily, this is good, straightforward entertainment.

can't wait for the next series...
I'm a fan of Dresden's File. When I picked this series, I don't have a lot of expectation. Chicago and Alera are different. Detective and adventure fantasy are different. However, after the first book, I started to crave for the next series. I admit it started slow, when the book built the characters, but it picked up the paces afterward. It suddenly become exciting adventure. In this fourth series, the political, the romance, and the action are excellent. So it's different from Dresden's File, but Butcher is a good storyteller, which make this series also good.
