    An Amazing Book To Read!

What I did not know when I bought this book was that it would be about a cat who had feline leukemia. It was so well written with the authors thought on why we tend to think things and what leads us to our decisions. Darwin was a stray cat that he convinced himself that he would not become attached to and he did. Darwin and him had such a great bond, and he cared and loved Darwin to the very end. I applaud his wonderful caring and his outpouring of emotion. Great book, great read. I would definitely recommend this book.

Heart of scientist is melted by a stray cat

I've read a lot of books, but this one is special. An analytical academic type gentleman who has always approached life in a pragamatic way finds himself courted by a stray cat. The story is about how he completely loses his objectivity, falls in love with, and aquires great respect for this little creature. The author has a wonderful self depreciating sense of humor which allows us to see into his heart. This is not about a cat with human qualities as we often see in cat-centered books, its about a human who was forever changed by knowing and loving a cat who is just that...a cat. I wish this wonderful little book had more exposure. It so deserves it. Its incredibly touching, enlightening, and intelligent all at the same time.

    The best book ever!

I loved this book so much. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me want to hug my cat! The transformation the author goes through, the trials and tragedies he must face with his new-found cat friend... This book will touch any hearts, animal-lover or not! If William Jordan's skeptical heart can be turned to one of love, the same can happen to any reader. And even if it doesn't change one's view of animals (though I can't see how it cannot!) the things it teaches us about life itself are reasons enough to pick this book up today!

    SIMPLY THE GREATEST!!!

Having read many books on cats and their humans, this is a very special well written book. The title tells you all. The author leads you with an open heart through his life changed by a cat with a heart warming story filled with true emotions on how a pet changes your life and your heart. I saw myself in this wonderful book, having lived the 'same' story with my Sylvester, memories, smiles and tears led me through the reading of this book, and at the end a sense of acomplishment came to life again. Any cat lover will enjoy this book, and it will always have a special place in my bookshelf.
