One of the best first reader books I've found so far.  Beautiful

One of the best first reader books I've found so far.  Beautiful illustrations just like Dr Seuss books and movie.  My granddaughters loved being able to read something so familiar to them.  The feeling of success with reading something that they had been seeing and hearing all their lives was very gratifying to this Grandma!  They had fun creating more rhyming words also---which they learned to spell quickly too!

    Coking With The Hat

What a great book for children to help them begin to read with characters they remember from other great stories. I taught my sons to read on Dr. Suess and bought this one for my granddaughter. Because so many of the words rhyme the child can sound out the beginning letters and be very successful while reading the story.

Learning to read for my five year old

This is a great help to my youngest son. His kindergarden teachers asked that we get Dr. Suess for the rhyming. This book was easy for him to learn to sound out his new words. When he first began school he struggled to learn how to read. Now he has no problem and loves to read this story over and over again.
He has also shown an interest in moving on to the reader level 2. The fact that the books are labeled with numbers helps him to know which books are his level.
