If you only read it.
Salinger's 'Catcher in the Rye' is one of the best books that I have read in long time. It is one of those classic books that you have to read to understand completely. One of the most interesting thing about this book is the way that the main character, Holden, doesn't even try in life and he still seems to be okay. A lot of the story deals with his journey on his way home for Christmas and how he manages to deal with his parents. Most of the teenagers that I asked, thought that this books should be read by everyone. 'It gives you a different outlook on everything' said a high school student from Arkansas. My personal outlook on this book is that it should only be read by someone if they have a tolerence for curse words. Salinger has a very unique way of telling us about Holden's life. Every page of the book is interesting. If someone were to come up to me and ask me if I thought that should read the book, I would tell them to go for it!!!Was this review helpful? Filled with adventure, great for teens!!!
I taught this book to my high school freshman and they loved it. It's filled with adventure, very realistic and down to earth. One of the great 'REAL' classics! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
