    Hysterically funny!

This is a great book for everyone, not just cat lovers. It's the adventures and misadventures of a couple who adopt a Siamese cat without a clue what they're in for, since Siamese are NOT like regular cats! Even if you're not into cats you'll love this book. I laughed myself to tears the whole time I was reading it, and I can't wait to read the other ones by this author.

Can she catch mice?! A great author and a fun read.

I love this author and hope they are able to get more of her titles as Nook books. This book was written in the 1950s and has the flavor of small town life in England. Doreen and her husband had never intended to have cats. When their pet squirrel died and they couldn’t replace him, the mice began chewing things up, looking for his food. The Tovey’s didn’t like traps and didn’t know want to do until they ran into a neighbor who’d just gotten a Siamese kitten. They asked if she could catch mice – “Catch mice" he bellowed, He described her antics and they were enchanted, and the bonus was, Siamese didn’t break things. This amusing book is about owning, and being owned by, a Siamese cat and her kittens. From the woman collecting for the church organ that Solomon accidentally threw up on when she squeezed him, to falling into the water barrel and dripping green water all over the cream carpet. The stories are so funny, and written so well, you can see them in your mind’s eye. All her books are fun and funny.
