    A must read!

A very warm story that's easy to enjoy. The author made me smell the salt water and evergreen trees! It's a book I'll be reading often, has that "motivation" factor! BUY & RELISH!!

    One of the worst ever!!

This book needed an editor, the writing is awful! It gtainllorifies the 'sport' of boxing; teaching to harm anothef human being by pummeling them in the face and body. I certainly wouldn't buy this for any child and it should not be listed as a children's book. A horrid peice of writing; wish I had saved my money. It wasn't fit to pass on and now resides in the trash waiting for the truck that will take it to the dump!!!

It is not every day that you get to meet an enthusiastic local author

    Mr. Cobbett,
I finally had time from school, jobs, and life in general to read your book and as I told you I was going to write a review. (Two years ago I told you I'd write it and I'm keeping my word, it is my bond afterall) :-)
If you want to read a title from a local author, read Champion.. If you like love stories, read Champion. if you like stories based on personal triumph, read Champion. If you appreciate the life of a boxer, read Champion. I will not give anymore away about this title, you will have to read it to find out what Roman Lefthanded Losinski is up to today.

    Superb

Mr. Cobbett has written a heart-warming story about friendship and one person's dreams in "Champion: A Story of the Happy Life of Roman 'Left-handed' Losinski." In an easy to read writing style, the story grabs you from the very beginning and doesn't let up until the end.

Permit me to tell you what I learned from reading this book. "Life is forever changing, which means no one situation will last forever and anything is possible. If you have a dream, then no matter how big or unrealistic it is, don't let anyone persuade you to do something that is not in your heart. The difference between dreams and accomplishments is purely desire."

It's a treat to read a good, clean book; well done, Mr. Cobbett. Well Done!

    Great Read

This book is an awesome introduction to starting readers or a refresher for those that used to be into reading but had fallen out because of busy schedules or just lost interest. It is a compelling story of a laborer turned boxer from Fairbanks, Alaska living his life. One of the top ten books that I have read which include others such as War & Peace by Tolstoy and The Stand by Stephen King. For readers of all ages.
