Lauren Dane’s Chaos Burning book two of her Bound by Magick series is an amazing sequel to her Heart of Darkness book one in the Bound by Magick series. Again Lauren Dane shows readers the power of her writing, introducing new characters, keeping the original cast exciting and bringing a new threat to bare. Two months have passed since Heart of Darkness and the threat to Clan Owen came to a close. Lark Jaansen of Clan Gennessee arrives to help train Clan Owen new defensive spells. They thought the threat us over, they were wrong, the threat just spread outward from Clan Owen. Now the weres and vampires have numbers of their own to count among the missing. Being pregnant job is now too dangerous for Nell. Lark Jaansen is offered leader of Clan Owen Hunter team out of need and her experience. Becoming good friends with Simon Leviathan has its many advantages, one his being a fearless warrior and second when by his side you become an almost unstoppable force. Lauren Dane brings new dimension to the series when she has Simon cross over from Earth to his homeland, Lycia looking for any answers to help Lark Jaansen and Clan Owen deal with this new threat. Lauren Dane uses this as an opportunity to bring a greater depth to Simon and explain some of the customs of Lycia. Lauren Dane’s Chaos Burning book two of her Bound by Magick series can be read as a stand alone, but I recommend reading Heart of Darkness book one in the Bound by Magick series. Doing this will help in getting the true depth of the characters and give a better understanding of their relationships to each other. I eagerly await Going Under book three in Lauren Dane’s Bound by Magick series due out February 2013.
