I didn't mind the historical inaccuracies, I don't read fiction for a lesson in history any more than I would read a contemporary to find out what was going on in the world today. I realize it's fiction and read it as such... for enterainment and there was certainly lots of that! As for the unfinished bits, it's obvious Ms Sands plans to have another book in the series. I know this is the third book that included the cousin, Rolfe, and the Bishop marrying off couples, so I just assumed the unfinished bits would be finished in the next story. I'm hoping that will be soon (hint hint Ms Sands :). I'd love to read Rolfe's story.

This book was very hard for me to read. So many mistakes and so soon, starting in chapter 2 'poppycock' is an american word first recorded in 1865. Throughout the middle of the book, (I never could finish it) it was one mistake after another. And the story is so convulated and so fragmented it becomes boring. This book is a waste of time and money!

The Chase is a romantic tale that is hard to put down.

With its whip-smart dialogue and great characters, The Chase is a great romantic story great for a rainy afternoon.

    Aptly Titled

This book really is all about 'the chase'- which is good and bad...I did like the plot (and there are a couple of interestinig subplots, too), but I didn't like that it seemed to take forever for our hero and heroine to get together. I like Sionaid's character, but am not sure I bought the attraction between her and Blake. I have also read 'The Deed' and enjoyed that Amaury and Emmalene were in this book, but all in all it was just OK. I certainly don't regret reading it, but I wouldn't rush out to the bookstore to buy this one either.

    OK READ

I AGREE WITH 3 AND A HALF AND WOULD HAVE GIVEN IT THAT RATING WERE IT AVAILABLE. AS USUAL MS.SANDS WRITES A FUNNY STORY. THIS BOOK IS UNFORTUNATELY NOT A 5 STAR READ AS MOST OF HER BOOKS ARE. IT WAS PLODDING IN TOO MANY PLACES. HOW MANY ESCAPE ATTEMPTS CAN A READER TAKE? BUT IT IS STILL WORTH A READ. ON A SENUSALITY SCALE IT'S A 7 AND AS USUAL THERE IS HUMOR IN SEDUCTION EVEN IF IT IS THE FEMALE DOING THE SEDUCING.
