A lovely history of a facinating event
This delightful book goes beyond the normal scope of most pictorial histories by focusing not only on the Fair's impact on Chicagoland, but it's significance as a celebration of industry. Advancements in automation, communication and mechanics were showcased at the Fair, and the author wisely chooses to juxtapose the Fair's theme with the overall economic malaise then gripping the country. A great book for anybody interested in history, Chicago or the advancements in technology during the early part of the 20th century. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
