Great gift book and not only for dog lovers. Lots of stories to think about

I liked the mix of the usual emotional stories and the more entertaining ones. One of my favorites is the short piece "It's Not Always About the Dog". The bits about the kids are funny. Who on earth could teach so many kids and dogs at the same time and obviously love it! I'm going to look into 4-H for my kids.

Not the best of the Chicken Soup Books

I have read MANY Chicken Soup Books, usually finishing them within hours because I cannot put them down. I love, love, love dogs so I was ecstatic when I saw this. It's been quite the let down, I've hardly made it 1/2 way because the stories are just, frankly, boring. They are not like the past books which really make you feel the emotions of the stories. I feel horrible saying this, but this book has just not done it for me like all the other "Chicken Soup's."
