Brief retread of psychiatric policies lacking in some areas.
This book provides very brief descriptions of mental health diagnoses with a focus on the minimum, must-know facts for lay practitioners. Unfortunately, it skimps on important details regarding differential diagnosis and varieties of treatment in its effort to provide simplistic, manualized, medicalized treatments. Perhaps it could serve as an introductory text for one beginning studies of these disorders; it is insufficient for those with real investment in the field. Was this review helpful?
