I really loved this book. It starts off fast and just keeps going.the romance that develops between the two main character sis touching, and the interaction between them is entraining and realistic. I particularly liked the lead female character Elizabeth. She's tough, and smart, but also funny and caring. She's like a battered woman who overcomes the bad things that have happen to her. I dont want to overlook the main character Hossiek. He's warm and sexy and a great super hero. Everything that happened in the book pulled me into the next thing. It was full of surprises and left me feeling very good when I finshed it. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance and action with a paranormal twist.

Child of Time is a high-fantasy adventure by Bob Johnson. In this tale, readers follow Hossiek, a mysterious hero, on his quest to finally take down the foe he has tracked throughout millennia - the vampire Joswieac. Hossiek is a man of many names: Seeker of the Sun, the Counterbalance, Eidolon, and to his enemies, the Dayfeeder. He is a man blessed, or cursed, with seeming immortality. Though he is merely a human, thousands of years of life have allowed him to tap into the unknown potential of humans. Mastering the powers of telekinesis, telepathy, and mind control have allowed him to become a hunter of the demons that plague the universe. Since around the year nine hundred, his greatest hunt has been for Joswieac, a manipulative and evil vampire that has made causing Hossiek pain one of his greatest joys. Now revenge is finally within Hossiek’s reach. With the help of a strangely human and beautiful vampiress, Elizabeth, who was once Joswieac’s slave, Hossiek will finally get the chance to stop the evil he has been chasing for countless years.

Bob Johnson’s novel is an exciting tale with a wonderfully fresh new world to explore. The world Hossiek comes from is full of hidden wonders and dangers: an Earth where angels and demons are real and vibrant and shape the world humans live in, although we are completely unaware of it. Johnson’s action scenes are crisp and enthralling and will have readers rooting for more. Hossiek is a hero that readers can admire. He is intelligent, dangerous, and charming, but flawed enough to be approachable. While at times the narration seemed too slow for my taste, the keen characters Johnson has created kept me interested in continuing. I recommend Child of Time for readers looking for an interesting new take on vampire and paranormal literature, and I look forward to reading more from Bob Johnson.
