    Truley a School Book

I read this for reading class and it is okay. The plot line isn't exciting but it isn't pointless. I had to read it for school and I liked it enough I didn't hate reading it. I would reccomend reading it if you want a quick read...

    From a 7th grade student's view

This book was okay but could be better. It was interesting at some points but other points literally but me to sleep. The ending leaves you wondering and the last five chapters were boring. It was okay but not the best book that i have ever read.

    It's okay.

My seventh grade geography teacher gave me this book to read, while I was out of the country. I mean it meant well, but I was disappointed. The hardships before their journey to America and the language barrier I can understand, but I was put off by the romance between Jonathan. It felt out of place and it ended up consuming the rest of the book.

    Hm...didn't hold my interest

I had to read it in the 7th grade for school. It was okay, but I wouldn't read it for my own pleasure.

    8th grader from la

this book was sorta hard to put down b/c the suspense of what sundara was going to do with johnathon trying to decide to use the cambodian customs or go with the flow using the american customs i mean, she is in america now isn't she? i think the choice she made was good though. I recomend this book to people who like to read!!!!!
