    A great weekend read

I love how intense and full of twists the storyline is ... I also love how there were so many characters that you suspect as being the murderer. I could have done without the steamy sex stuff, which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars, but still glad I read it, regardless.

    Keeps you on the edge

This was my first Sandra Brown novel and it was absolutely riveting! I was hooked from the begining until the last page. I have now read several of her novels and this is by far the best.

    Empty

CD/abridged/Romantic Suspense: A friend loaned me the paperback a few years back and it was okay. This abridged version was not at good as the paperback. It was very empty and I disliked the townspeople more in this version. There were so many plot holes and red herrings. The police procedure stuff was completely unrealistic. The narrator did a great job.

Quick read, poor writing, simple plot

This book has an almost insulting plot. Mystery! What mystery? I figured it out within the first 50 pages. The writing is poor. The character development is poor. The one good quality to the book is that I read it fast. This is my first read by Sandra Brown, but if this is reflective of her work, it'll be my last.

    I Also Recommend:

    Couldn't finish it...

I have been trying to read through this for 3+ days. Normally I would've been able to finish a book by now, but I just couldn't get into it. The characters were uninteresting and not much plot development after about 150 pages. Very disappointing...

    Jennifer Wardrip - Personal Read

Sandra Brown does it again! A tightly-paced romantic supsense story, CHILL FACTOR is the genre at its best. With suspects out the wazoo, you'll have a hard time figuring out who the bad guy really is--while you're watching the romance unfold between the hero and heroine.

I loved the fact that the very first chapter starts out with circumstantial evidence that will have you doubting Ben Tierney throughout the whole story. Is he the good guy, or just a really good con artist? The fact that the evidence continues to mount through each chapter leaves you feeling as mixed-up as the heroine of the story seems to be.

Sandra Brown has definitely penned a CHILLING winner--you don't want to miss this book!

    A good one-sitting book

I have read a few other of her books, but this is the best so far. You don't know for sure who the killer is. Be prepared for a surprise ending. She has a great talent for keeping you guessing. Enjoy.

    Great book

Great book, and I really like the way the relationship developed between Lilly and Ben, however I was surprised at the end.

I chose the book because it was in a nature setting and the cover caught my eye. I could hardly wait to continue reading each day. It was easy to place myself right in the story, like an on-looker. There was sex, but it didn't overshadow the integrity of the plot or of women. Thanks, Sandra

    Best in audiobook

I've listened to the audio version(unabridged) of Chill Factor, and the narrator does an excellent job of producing the setting/mood for the story- it makes you feel like you're there with the characters. Though in some areas a bit predictable, it is still a well-read audio.

    INCREDIBLE!!!!

This is my first Sandra Brown book, but I guarantee not the last. I absolutely loved Chill Factor. It keeps you guessing right up til the end. This is suspense at it's very best. I can't wait to read my next Sandra Brown book.

    A Predicatable Read

Having enjoyed my previous reads from Sandra Brown, I decided to give this one a try when my friend's mom gave it to me. Am I glad that I was given this book and didn't have to pay for it. This was one of the most predictable books that I have ever read. I was about 350+ pages into it when I finally gave up. I cruised to the ending pages just to see if I was right about the killer and the Marilee's secret lover...I was. (Which I'm sure many other readers were). The book had a pretty decent story line and some twists and turns, but after awhile I was just so bored. This book didn't turn me off to Sandra Brown by any means, but this definitely was not her best. I would not suggest this to anyone.

    Lots of plot twists

This was my first Sandra Brown book and it was a good read. I was not left dying to read another of her books, but there were a lot of plot twists that I didn't see coming. It was a little slow at times but once I got towards the end, I couldn't put it down. I would recommend it.
