Highly recommend
Of all of Kay Hooper's Bishop -Special Crimes books, this is my all time favorite. I've read at least 10 times. Story line is original, characters are great, and the book ends cleanly, and wraps everything up great. Really enjoy this one!!

Kay Hooper does it again!
Kay Hooper is amazing. The whole Bishop/Special Crimes Unit Series is fantastic and Chill of Fear is no exception. The story keeps you guessing until the end!

Shadowstar-bramble bush
Inside a bramble bush a rabbit is hiding. If there were at least two cats in a hunting patrol one could scare the rabbit away while the other hides a couple tail-lenghs away...

A Favorite Author
I've been a fan of Kay Hooper's writing since I picked up her first book many years ago. Chill of Fear has a little less action than some of her others but, for me, it was just as good. The story centers around Diana, a woman coming to terms with her ability as a medium. There's mystery, an emerging romance and, of course, the paranormal world of ghosts and extrasensory abilities.

This is part of the ongoing Bishop/Special Crimes Unit series, though it is also broken down into the separate 'Fear' series using specific characters. Chill of Fear could be read as a stand-alone, though I would suggest reading Hunting Fear, the first in this particular subseries. -

Very disappointing & waste of time and money
This is the first book I bought of this author and I very much regret for having bought it. There is hardly any substance in this book.

A Dissapointing and Boring Read
Ok, I read the reviews here and I thought I might really enjoy something written by this author. I had never read a book written by Kay Hooper so I brought this home and was excited to try something new. I was so dissapointed in this book. I had to force myself to finish it. It was hard to keep going back to it but sometimes a book can start off kind of slow and it get's more interesting the more you read so I kept giving it the benefit of the doubt. That was not the case with this book. I thought her writing style was unimaginative to say the least, and the end of the book left me feeling like there had to be more. The author tries to create such a big build up to the story, she tries to create all this mystery and intrigue but there really isn't any of either. This book may be more interesting for a teenager or young adult, but I'm afraid I wasted my time and money. It was a complete bore. I won't be reading any more Kay Hooper books.

Couldn't Put It Down!
I bought this book on Friday night and was finished with it on Sunday evening! This book was great. I love the mix of mystery and paranormal. Hooper writes very fast paced, but keeps everything organized so you never feel like you are lost.

This was my first book by Kay Hooper and I must say she had me hooked from the word go. I could really imagine all that was being described. I am now picking up all her books to read and would recommend Hooper to all.

Okay, but not great
This book just wasn't that great. Too many ghosts and a little boring. Try the Shadow Trilogy. These are great books. This book was just too unbelievable for me. Hunting Fear in my opinion was a better book.

Scary as hell
This book was her scariest one yet. It had me going well into the night. You could almost here the 'tha-thum'. While this book has the traditional romance, it's missing the steamy scenes we're all used to, but it's a great book with lots of twists and turns and always keeps you guessing.
