3.0 1
Lounge music is pretty much chilled-out by definition, but chillout music is not necessarily loungey. This collection achieves both states simultaneously, for better or worse, by combining the slow, funky grooves of trip-hop and nu-jazz with wanky wah-wah guitars, slinky pan-European vocals, and the occasional dollop of syrupy strings. It's a blend of debonair

I decided to check out this “Chillounge” collection due to my interest in a varied sort of chill-out music. This compilation is fitting with the picture in the sense that you do get music from various artists that imbue a bar lounge vibe. The chill-out music with synth-pop, electronica, and/or melodic trance elements that I hoped for is unavailable in this “Chillounge” compilation. However, those looking more for a collection with mostly jazz musical hints may like “Chillounge.”
