My review: Chocolate Aftertaste by Liz Grace Davis is such a sweet book, that it was a pleasure to read it. When I am saying sweet, I don't mean boring! Not at all! Chocolate Aftertaste was well-written and filled with obstacles and the twists which the protagonists had to face. Besides that, it was not a typical swooning-over-the-hills kind of romance, but romance novel where people faced real life issues. Before going to the plot, I would like to say, that I really love the cover of the book and also the title of the book. The cover of the book just looks so cozy and the woman on the cover is exactly what picture I got of Nora. Why did I like the title? You'll need to read the book to understand that! Plot: Nora is a daughter of controlling father and the book starts out with Nora finally standing up for herself by not marrying the man his father has more or less picked out for her. Liam is Nora's father's right hand man and is expected to marry Nora. Liam is not not nice, he is as cold as ice and Nora saves herself from him almost a second before the marriage. That of course worsens the beforehand tense relationship with her father and Nora decides to move to a small town Dreara to start over. She meets another person with the broken heart - Ethan. The relationship with Ethan is not easy, because both of them have serious trust issues due to their pasts. When everything seems to be solved and Nora's and Ethan's relationship on it's way to become more than just an attraction, person from his past is appearing. Characters: I did not understand Nora in the beginning, I could not relate to her, but as soon as she left Liam, she grew on me. I liked how the relationship between Nora and Ethan developed and I think the author did an excellent work with describing their relationship. I liked that it was not all easygoing and without any challenges. Generally: It's a good romance to read and it's warm and gripping. I would recommend Chocolate Aftertaste to any romance reader! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
