    Must Read!!

A CHRISTMAS AFFAIR Adrianne Byrd 0-37386-234-4 4 Adrianne Byrd has another hit on her hands with A CHRISTMAS AFFAIR. It¿s a story of two high school sweethearts whose one night of love sends their entire life as they know it upside down. Corona Mae Banks in convinced that she is absolutely, positively in love with Lyfe Alton and is ready at the age of seventeen to take their relationship to the next level. Only problem is her parents walk in on them as they complete the act. Her father, the preacher in this small town insists that the two get marry. Corona Mae has no intentions of staying in small town Thomason, Georgia and refuses to be the participant in a shot gun wedding. So she flees to New York and never looks back. That is until her past comes barreling at her at a speed she can¿t control. Corona soon learns that secrets can never stay hidden forever. Corona Mae, or Chloe, as she¿s known in New York is a much sought after agent to the stars. She¿s also recently engaged to white actor Rowan James. Rowan can¿t wait to meet his future in-laws. Problem is Corona has told them nothing about him. It¿s only fitting that her soon to be mother-in-law has her investigated and brings her past to her engagement party. If that¿s not bad enough, her never could mine her own business sister Tess, brings her ex-fiancé with them. Corona Mae comes face to face with her first love that she hasn¿t seen in fourteen years and realizes that she¿s still in love with him. Lyfe is determined to get the answers he needs from Corona Mae in order to move on with his life once and for all. He doesn¿t realize how impossible that is until he sees her again and is forced to admit that they belong together. Lyfe vows not to leave New York until Corona Mae is his once and for all. That is until he discovers the thirteen year old daughter that he never knew existed and he¿s force to question just who is this woman that he¿s fallen in love with. Will Corona be able to attest for all the hurt and pain she¿s caused the people she loves, or will she lose the love of her life for the second and final time. This story takes place in Thomason and New York. The dialogue in the story is very interesting with recaps of teenage Corona through her diary. The supporting characters provide a great support system and constant advice for the main characters. I believe that this is the first in Adrianne Byrd¿s new series. I truly enjoyed A CHRISTMAS AFFAIR. I can¿t wait to see which Alton brother falls in love next. Something tells me Hennessey and Tess¿ story is up next.

    A Good Read

First off let me start off by stating I do not like the cheating thing, never have and probably never will. That alone left a very unpleasant taste in my mouth. But if you take that out of the equation, this was a laugh out loud, never put down, wonderful story. Corona and Lyfe had a life long love that should have been saved. I enjoyed this book from start to finish, even with the cheating.
