Does the job
I wanted a uniform set of books to give to people for a caroling day. This book is inexpensive and has an excellent selection of songs -- every song that was requested (except for "Jingle Bell Rock") and several I'd never heard of. There are only lyrics, no melodies. Some of the word choices are not traditional, "God rest you merry, gentlemen" rather than "God rest ye merry...". "Christmas is coming the goose is getting fat," ends without including "If you haven't got a penny, a ha'penny will do, if you haven't got a ha'penny, God bless you!" But even if the verses or arrangements aren't always typical, it was still worth it to have everyone singing from the same page in an easily portable format.

Just what you need
This book is excellent and cheap for caroling groups. It has complete verses to all the carols you need to know and listed conveniently in alphabetical order. It doesn't have Carol of the Bells though. (Note: This book does not contain some other popular "caroling" or Christmas time songs such as Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph, which are not a carols anyway, and Auld Lang Syne, which is actually a New Year's song. Also it does not contain melodies so to find out how to sing the song you will have to look elsewhere.)
