Highly recommended - could not put it down.

People are often called to do extraordinary things during War. That certainly applied to Max during WW II. He was 17 years old and became a "fixer" or spy for Winston Churchill. Max spent numerous years with an ex-military tutor and priests of a school he attended. Consequently, he was very mature and self assured for his age. He handled numerous missions during the several years of the war. His youth was an advantage because the Germans did not suspect him of any such activities. He had spent time with Mr. Churchill and they were very fond of each other. Max met a lot of interesting people along the way. Josephine Baker and Gypsies, which had a history of passing on intelligence to the Allies. Max was eventually captured and tortured. He suffers the effects to this day. This book provides historical insight to life at that time, and the very dangerous existence of spies. I am anxiously waiting for the next book from this author.

Highly Recommend - A Great Book

Based on the authors memory of events that he lived this is a very well written book. He is one of the many heros of WW2 that enabled us to have the freedoms that we have today. Don't take your freedoms lightly as they can be ripped away from you in the blink of an eye.
