    I Also Recommend:

A must read for ladies everywhere!

I had heard so much buzz about this book in the months leading up to it's release on twitter. I bought the book the day it came out and read it within the first hour of purchasing it. Derek Blasberg's witty repartee is showcased amazingly throughout the book. This book shows ladies everything from etiquette to style and everthing in between. It's full of wonderful illustrations and photos that give a visual aid for nearly everything that Derek stresses. This book challenges girls to act more like ladies and less like tramps. This book is tongue-in-cheek, fabulous fun. In other words, I LOVED IT!

This book is a Bible for fashionable young adults. As a 16 year

This book is a Bible for fashionable young adults. As a 16 year old, my friends and family constantly hear me complain about how trashy my generation is. My peers are so classless that even the word classy no longer means what it used to. Namely because of the common Facebook tag "I'm a classy b***h" that accompanies shots of 16 year olds in crop tops and almost nonexistent shorts at parties. What have we come to when Hollister is the holy Mecca of fashion for teens while an astounding number still don't know what Dior is?! "Classy" tries to counteract this. Everything one could possibly need to know to be a classy young women (even how to set a table for different meals!) is included, along with visuals and theoretical situations that only aid to the "learning". I adore Derek Blasberg and this book was so him; full of wit, charm, and humor. I have only knocked off one star because sometimes the humor is a bit rude (but hey, if you're offended, you don't deserve to be reading this book and should grow a backbone instead) and because it was at times repetitive or conradictory. I.e. Derek talks about how you don't have to wear name brands to look good and praises thrift shopping, but continuously raves about high end retailers and only features the model in name brands. My one tip would be to buy his newer book "Very Classy" instead, because very classy is the exact same as "classy", only the topics are expanded upon. I only found this out after and was disappointed a) because I wanted more of his witty writing, not just an expanded version of the older edition, and b) because one does not need to own both so had I known I would have bought the larger edition. Anyway, the book was lovely and really does a wonderful job of teaching so-called "tramps" to be classy, while providing us fashion-loving, classy young ladies with even more to know. Everyone can benefit from this, and maybe if we all owned it there would come a day where those trashy Facebook photos cease to exist. FYI: this book seems to be geared to the 14-20 age demographic, so if you're a full grown adult pondering this purchase, you may want to skip it. Although he does feature outfits that may be too sophisticated for teens and teaches one to dress for white-tie galas, so that made me ponder his targeted age group as well. Regardless, this is a great buy for all!

Loved this book and living by it!

This book was a great find for me. I am 100% for how you present and carry yourself. This book is a good polishing tool for young women and women who want to be classy ladies. Even the little tips about fashion at the airport were great. This is a great book and a must read for everyone.

Class: It's just not something you attend

I had heard of this book via Teen Vogue a while ago, but didn't (regrettably) pick it up until recently. And I haven't been able to put it down since...it is definitely a book worth reading and it is also worth the money! Essentially, this book is for everyone...and teaches us young women and girls how to be more ladylike, how to be the perfect hostess and plan parties (this was one of my favourite chapters), and even gives tips on what to read as well as watch. I think we could all do with a little more class in this world.
