Since almost every girl was reading this, I gave in and read it. This was one of the most shameful examples of our society today. These girls are seventh-graders! They act and talk like adults! The brand-name mentions, the cheesy phrases! Is this a book, or a magazine? The plot is nothing but fluff and they don't have real problems. This shows really how easy it is to write something and publish it. There are other more decent, better books out there. This book does not deserve the popularity it has. I'm ashamed to be in the age group this book is targeted to.Show Less

    Clique (Clique Series #1)

These books are about snobby, self-obsessed, fashion-fawning girls who have petty interests. It portrays the lives of girls who couldn't care less about school and would rather die than suffer from any blemishes. Books like this are a waste of time to read. The characters are wimpy and shallow, and the plot needs more basis than characters like these. It's just unfathomably sad. I wouldn't reccomend this book for anyone who likes books where emotions and thoughts are more important than money and looks.

    Heart It!

The Clique was a really good book. I thought Lisi Harrison did a really good job writing it. It was like it came right from a preteen's mind. Not only is it funny and humorous, it really tells you a lot about how junior high is. I learned from this book that girls can be mean, and instead of trying to fit in and go with the flow, be yourself. I couldn't stop reading these books until I got to the end of the series. Props to Lisi!! I reccommend this book to any girl looking for a good read.

    This was a horrible book

This book was horrible. My friends who reccommended it to me, after hearing my disgust with the book said, 'this is the real world'. No, its not. We are in 7th grade. This is not the 'real world'. Yes, the student body of America is getting increasingly shallower, but these girls do not represent America. These girls are rich spoiled brats. Not everyone can (or will) buy the clothes that these girls are wearing. This book was horribly written & entices young girls such as my friends to think they are superior to everyone. They aren't. Some girls are worshiping these books, following everything they say & hanging on this author's last word. It's disgusting. They have to have words put in their mouth for them because these books have, in a sense, brainwashed them not to think for themselves.

    The Clique

I loved this book! This whole series is an excellent read for any girl about ten and up. The main characters include Massie, who is a spoiled brat, Kristen, who is an athletic and very smart girl, Alicia who is a beautiful Spanish lady, and Dylan, who tries every diet out there. The main plot of this story is that Massie¿s parents¿ friends are not only moving to town, they are moving into Massie¿s guesthouse. When the Lyon¿s move in, Massie realizes she has to become fiends with this loser, Claire.
The writing style in this book is perfect teenage language. This is one of my favorite books because I can relate to so much going on. It is almost like the author stepped into the life of a thirteen-year-old. There is one part of the book where a conflict occurs between the clique and Claire. The girls text to communicate to help ruin the situation. This is one of the best books ever. I think any girl who reads this will absolutely love it!

    Fun, Light book.

If you're looking for a really deep, meaningful, shocking book with many well thought out plot twists, this is not the book for you. However, if you're looking for something that is a light read for fun, this book is great. When I was reading this book, I found it pretty hard to put down. It was amusing, and it did depict some realistic scenes. Overall, I would definitely read it, as long as you don't have expectations of a riveting book.

The Clique is a book that has no point, its just fluff!! There are millions of pieces of real literature out in the world so why would you waste your time reading a book about superficial and shallow seventh graders? I confess I've been known to read chick flicks and I've enjoyed them, but I am not intrigued enough by The Clique to read any more of the series. All its about is not being true to yourself, treating your friends horribly, and not following your morals. Oh yeah and like... cute boys and fashion and like, parties and stuff!! omg!!

    'Stupid Girls'

This book makes Gossip Girls look like an intelligent, indepth book series. This book is more then just your typical, shallow, adolscent novel, its also horribly written. I actually enjoy reading books like this, usually.I'm beginning to feel like these types of novels are an epidemic! Everyone I know is reading them, and there so stupid & shallow! I get we live in cultrue where Paris Hilton is a role model and all that matters is clothes but for godsakes, its now infecting books! Look I'm not saying go out and read Jane Austen but these books are beneath teenagers. I would recommend this book to any one into the O.C. but if you have a brain, this pathetic excuse for literture is not for you.

    Hilarious!

I love the Clique Series. I own and have read every book in the collection. Lisi Harrison is a great author. I think the Clique is very relatable to teen girls. We've all been Massies ad we've all been Clairs in our life, and if you haven't, you will. Read this book, along with the rest of the series.

    Great book

This book is so great. For any young teen who is having any troubles at school should read this book. Now that I am 56 years old I wish I read this book when I was a young teen.

    READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The clique by Lisi Harrison is filled with amazing twists that won’t let you put your book down! In the novel, Massie Block is the head of the most popular group at OCD (Octavian Country Day School)…THE CLIQUE. Massie’s clique includes her best friends Kristen, Alicia, and Dylan. But when Claire Lyons (in Massie’s view, a girl who wears nothing but gap) moves into Massie’s guesthouse, Massie’s world turns upside down. What will happen to Massie and her friends? Will the Clique break apart? Or will Claire join the clique? Although the book is Realistic Fiction, it’s filled with suspense.

LOVE this book! It tells a story about snobby mean girls who get anything they want. They then change a bit, and let somebody who is new to the school, and with a lower social status, into their group. I think it dends a good message to teenage girls.
