    more from this reviewer

    Roller coaster of thrills

With them being short stories, I felt like I was on the amusement park ride itself...either really high with the can't put down thrills, or fighting to stay awake through the boring and dragging not short enough stories. I love Clive Barker's other work and will still continue to enjoy reading him, but this will probably not be one I revisit.

    I was suprised.....

It came to me as shock when I finish his book. Because out of maybe three volumes only 3 stories was worth even reading. The rest kinda dragged on and not very interesting. It was like some of the stories was pressed to hard to make it classify as HORROR. Out of all the books I ever read by him this one I must say....was beyond the word HORRIBLE. To all those who read this review please understand and note I AM A CLIVE BARKER FAN!!!!! However, when I got this book my main purpose was to only read the MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN based on the new movie. Even it wasnt as good as I hoped for. I pray the movie is better. But this book wasnt worth my 18.42...:'

    Kind of boring

I give this book 3 stars because it did have about 3 really outstanding stories, but other than that the stories just kind of dragged and bored me. I expected much more after such high praise for these stories.
