This is my favorite Marsh novel. She was always at her best describing travel, and in this one Alleyn's wife takes an inland cruise on a convoluted waterway with some assorted weirdos. The scenery and atmospheres at her various stops are interesting, and the plot (not always her strong point) is one of her more satisfying. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
