I Also Recommend:
Worth picking up, but don't base your picks on the individual reviews.
The issue that stands out the most from this book is the personal biases of the two reviewers. Martin seems to give a more fairer review across the board, whereas David's personal tastes seem to tend towards thrash/black metal and his reviews reflect it. Ultimately, if you want an honest review of an album from any particular sub-genre, ask someone who's tastes lean towards that type of music, and you'll get a better answer for you. However, if you are a completist and own the other books in this series, it is worth picking up. Or, if you want to expand your album collection and are searching for new bands to find. Or, just because Martin is awesome, a true journalist, and you should support all things METAL!!! \m/Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
