4.5 Stars!! Collide is Freaking Phenomenal!

I'm so glad that this was the book to start off my 2013! I love the way Gail McHugh writes! Her prose is so smooth, the story flowed seamlessly. I think one of my favorite things about this book was the fact that there was so much raw emotion that bled from its pages.

Emily: Her character developed beautifully. Broken, but hanging on to the things she holds dear. Her boyfriend, her sister, her best-friend Olivia, and her boyfriend Dillon. Things seem to be coming together, until.....(enter incredibly, painfully gorgeous, dreamy, fu*kable, amazing, charming Gavin.)

Gavin: Like seriously... where is the machine that turns our book boyfriends into flesh because I am completely head over heels in love with this delectable dude! Gavin Blake is just ...Wow! They way he loves is stunning. The things that he makes Emily feel *sigh*....Fate definitely had a good time with these two, and it will have you holding your breath, jaw dropping to the floor, and smiling like a fool!

Collide is the total package, steamy, fun, and a little heart-wrenching. Gail does a wonderful job at making you feel like you are part of everything that's going on throughout the whole book. By the end, if you don't already feel like you know the characters personally, you may need to re-read it 'cause you definitely missed something. Her characters are as real as they come.

    I wanted to like it...

There are some books that you read and think to yourself "Why on earth is the character making THAT decision?" with the understanding that we are at the author's whim when it comes to character strengths and decisions. I really wanted to like this book and read the whole thing wondering when the main character would discover she had a backbone (those of you who have read it will understand what I'm referring to). I've found the romance genre to be generally uplifting and its protaganists to be generally likable, but this book missed the mark to me in that the main romance didn't really materialize until the end of the book (it's all flirty conversation and heated glances up until then). It was too long of a wait and felt like too little payoff.

So I am the odd man out! I really really did not like this book

So I am the odd man out! I really really did not like this book and it had nothing to do with the ending. I am one who actually doens't mind a cliffhanger. I enjoy having something to look forward too. I just didn't like the story. Which is also odd for me because I almost never dislike a story.I really feel awful leaving this review I know this is Gail's baby and I know she probably worked really hard on it! But here goes Emily was the most obnoxiously annoying character ever! All she did was cry constantly and everytime she got nervous and put under pressure she also puked or wanted to puke. Dillion was the biggest douchebag ever and it was so hard to read any page with him on it and well he's on most of them. Gavin was ok but didn't do it for me. I finally did enjoy his character and almost redeemed himself in the last 3 or 4 chapters. It got really annoying reading about how both Emily and Gavin found each other so beautiful, sexy and hot. I mean every time they looked at each other. I really wish I liked this book because of all the hype i was so super excited to read this and started it as soon as the 2nd book came out so I could read them together. So disappointed and here's to hoping the 2nd book is easier for me to get through. Yes I am reading the 2nd book in hopes of some redemption plus I already bought it.

    Gosh this book sucked

The book sucks and to make it worse, it has a freaking cliffhanger. The thing is it did have potential but whinnnnning, begging, stupidity and lack off originality just took over took the very few good parts of the story...

    Nothing interesting about a victim

Characters are one dimensional. Couldn't get into their love story.
