this play brought tears and laughs
When i first read this book i was in drama class at hallandale high school with mr. battle. i thought that we were just reading this book because of black history month. As a hispanic female i wanted to learn about this play. But reading it not only made me understand why we were reading it but mad me understand that he did it for a reason.. To teach us a little about him... This book should be a best seller.. X: Llynet GispertWas this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. George C. Wolfe, takes and succeeds, in my opinion, a literary leap of faith by addressing the issues he addressed in this play. Issues of racism, stereotypes, and discrimination are rarely handled in a serious manner but, Wolfe goes there, all the way there and does so in a satirical manner. The man is a genius and so is this play. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
