    I Also Recommend:

    Excellent Overview of Self-Sufficient Living

This is an excellent book for those wishing to learn ways to cut costs while learning to be self-sufficient. I have had a subscription to Mr. Berlanger's magazine, "Countryside & Small Stock Journal," for years. His advice and experience are timeless and well worth reading!

Mostly a lecture on "Green Environmentalism". Definit

Mostly a lecture on "Green Environmentalism". Definitely pushing an agenda with no real information. You can learn more watching sponge bob.

The cooking section had some decent tips but not alot elsewhere.

The cooking section had some decent tips but not alot elsewhere. I was looking for ideas and plans as opposed to "why I should". Obviously I am interested in the topic or I wouldn't have bought the book to learn how. An example is the water conservation section. I do not care when low flow toilets were mandated and I do not care that too much water builds up and oil from cars leaks into it before going to our streams. I would like to know good methods for collecting rainwater, actually filtering water to make it drinkable, proper ways to build a septic X feet down put sand/gravel blah blah. I was looking for information like "It takes X number of rabbits to feed an adult for a month and X number of chickens will give you X amount of eggs. This book title should be more in line with "If you are thinking of trying to learn about self-sustained living, here is why you should". I'm not learning about it to be a "prepper" but those books may have more useful information in them even if you are just looking to have a rustic cabin for weekend getaways.

Wish i bought the actual book so I could return it

COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. The entire section on meat, dairy and eggs read like a PETA flyer I was looking for facts and advice, not the propagandic, nonsensical ravings of a long-winded blowhard.
