At some point in time every person needs a confidence boost. Sometimes they feel less than adequate with their mind and others struggle with their physical appearance. In Joyce Meyer's book The Confident Woman she talks about the seven characteristics a woman with confidence has.

I have battled with feelings of worthlessness and I don't think that I have ever been confident when it comes to my bodily appearance. This book does help you change your thinking about a few things which in the end can make your life a little simpler.

I was feeling depressed and rejected when I lost my job. This book motivated me to study God's word and to view myself as He does. Lots of examples of people who overcame hardships. And many inspiring bible passages

    An Inspirational Read!

The Confident Woman, by Joyce Meyer, was an enjoyable read.

Joyce is one of the world's leading practical Bible teachers and has written more than eighty inspirational books. She also has radio and television broadcasts around the world.

Often society can put tremendous pressure on us which in return can leave us feeling insecure about ourselves, whether this be working in a competitive field, being the perfect parent, meeting those grades or trying to live up to the expectations of others, etc..

I think this book would be fantastic for all women young or old to read, even for women who may not feel they lack confidence. I certainly enjoyed reading every chapter throughout the book, and it kept my attention to the very end.

This book is inspiring, uplifting and very practical for women in their everyday life. Joyce makes several generilizations which may apply to most people but not to everyone. However, for the most part, it is a very well written book. Joyce speaks from her own experiences in a way that certainly would help women who don't feel confident to have a sense of someone they can relate to and know they are not alone in this area. The author offers realistic and very practical advice regarding a wide range of things women face relating to confidence.

I really like the fact Joyce encourages us to be positive about everything. For example, she wrote: 'Even if you fail it is better to have tried than to have regrets wishing you did.'

This book encourages us to try something new. You will never know unless you try.
It also makes reference to biblical scripture encouraging us to move forward in our faith regardless of how we feel.

This book contains many lessons for us all. It is all about stepping out of your comfort zone, being bold. She challenges us to be the people God wants us to be.

    more from this reviewer

    Growing Gracefully.

It is a valuable tool to assist the reader in building her confidence with the Word of God. Joyce Meyer encourages the reader to love herself with the love of the Lord and to build her confidence through practical steps that help strengthen her courage. Taking "baby steps", if necessary, to get out of the "comfort zone" and grow, as well as advice to challenge the reader to try new things that will build confidence and encourage acceptance of herself and others. This is a worthwhile book for ladies trying to grow in Christ, even if they already feel confident.
